Path of Study: Priesthood & Layman Practice

Our tradition honors two parallel paths of growth: Priesthood/Priestesshood and Layman Practice. Both require dedication, discipline, and completion of the Members Work. The difference is depth of training and service responsibility.

Members Work - The Foundation for All

Before entering either path, every Member completes 6 core qualification modules. These build character, knowledge, and community of self accountability.

Members Work Modules:

  1. [Module - Members Identification]
  2. [Module - Members Characteristics]
  3. [Module - Members Agreements]
  4. [Module - Current Roles and Responsibilities]
  5. [Module - Identifying Power Dynamics]
  6. [Module - Spirit Led Guidelines]

Complete these 6 modules to qualify for initiation on either path.

Layman Spiritual Program

Layman Practice Track

The Layman path is for those called to serve, learn, and apply the tradition within daily life, family, and community.

  1. Focus: Personal development, ethical living, and support of temple work.
  2. Training: Members Work Modules + ongoing circle study, service, and mentorship.
  3. Commitment: Live the principles. Participate in community. Grow in wisdom.

Layman practitioners are the backbone of the house. No shaving of the head or vows of celibacy are required, but integrity, respect, and consistency are expected.

Layman's terms means simple language that an ordinary person can easily understand. It avoids hard technical words, job-specific jargon, and complex details. The goal is to make a hard idea clear without using confusing insider terms.

Core Meaning

  • Plain English: Clear and direct words that do not need a special degree to read.
  • No Jargon: Leaving out secret code words or deep technical terms used by pros.
  • For Everyone: Made so that a person with no training in that specific field can get the main point.

  • Additional training may be requested at any time.

Priest Initiation Program

Priesthood Initiation Track

The Priest/Priestess path is for those called to full-time ritual service, spiritual leadership, and stewardship of sacred knowledge.

Prerequisites: Completion of all 6 Members Work modules + approval from Mothers🕊.

Training Sequence - 48 Weeks of Intensive Preparation:

  1. Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras 8-Limb Boot Camp – 8 Weeks
Foundation in yama, niyama, asana, pranayama, pratyahara, dharana, dhyana, samadhi. Discipline of body, breath, and mind.
  2. Tactical Training – 8 Weeks
Focus, awareness, protection, and practical application of spiritual principles under pressure.
  3. Ritual Training – 8 Weeks
Correct procedure, offerings, altar work, invocation, and stewardship of sacred space.
  4. Conjuring & Spell Training – 8 Weeks
Ethical use of spiritual force, word, herb, and symbol. Emphasis on responsibility and consequence.
  5. Legal Framework Training – 8 Weeks
Temple governance, contracts, fiduciary duty, religious rights, and protecting the house + members.
  6. One Year in White, Observing Celibacy
Purification period. White clothing, simple living, sexual continence, daily prayer/meditation. Builds ori and aligns the initiate for service.

Initiation Rite:

Completion of training + one year in white culminates in initiation. Shaving of the head symbolizes surrender of ego, release of the old self, and openness to divine instruction.

After Initiation: Full priest/priestess assumes ritual duties, teaching responsibilities, and accountability for the spiritual welfare of members.

Priest / Priestess Initiation Disclaimers

The Priesthood is a full-immersion path of transformation. Initiation is not a title — it is a death of the old self and a rebirth into service.

Initiation Requirements:

  1. Head Shaving – Symbol of surrender, purification, and new beginning.
  2. One Year in White + Celibacy – A full cycle of purification to refine body, mind, and spirit.
  3. Completion of Members Work – All 6 Layman Modules must be passed before advancing.

Beyond the ordinary

Both paths require the same foundation: character first, knowledge second, power last.*
Whether you walk as Layman or Priest/Priestess, the goal is the same — alignment with truth, service to community, and elevation of Ori.
